The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed only briefly, so we can’t judge the food. The Rock hotel is a place that had its heyday. It’s located in a somewhat remote, neglected spot. The rooms are not cozy and are cold. There was no hot water and the sink leaked. The photos in that regard are somewhat misleading. W

At check‑in we had to pay for the room, and every time we ordered something we had to settle the bill. That’s abnormal and uncomfortable for guests. The meals don’t offer value for money. The hotel should improve meal service and provide a menu. It’s all focused on profitability and less on better service for guests.

Basic breakfast was offered for free. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The property was not easy to locate.

People make the place beautiful. My stay at the Rock Hotel proves that. Shout‑out to Manager Mr. Graham, a warm and charming soul always with a smile and ready to help anytime. All staff were very courteous and super helpful. The hotel is in an amazing location. The cozy café is proof of that. It’s near Gregory Lake, a short walk away, a great spot to spend your stay.
