Mireille was an ideal host, whipping up the best scrambled eggs I've ever had and sharing deep knowledge about the local history. The room and its surroundings were stunning, and the animals—especially the beautiful Stark—were a real delight. We’re definitely planning a return when we visit the area again. Everything was wonderful!
Set on a farm, the area is quiet and peaceful, making it perfect for touring the Somme region. The breakfast couldn’t be better, and there’s secure parking.

Battery Valley Farm sits right in the heart of The Somme, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Breakfast offers a wide range of cooked and continental dishes, all delicious. The room availability for the two nights I requested was accommodated. Muriel’s warm welcome, meticulous attention to detail, and thoughtful kindness were lovely throughout. The online booking listed check‑in only after 16.30, but after calling Muriel I was able to check in much earlier as I wanted.
