“Photos totalement mensongères”
The desert‑edge location is perfect, but the list of problems is endless. The owner seemed resigned about upkeep and even admitted she was counting down the days to the annual closure. First, the site advertises a pool with gorgeous photos, yet on arrival we were told it was closed because it was too hot, forcing us to go to a rival hotel and pay to use their pool, which happened to be set in a beautiful garden. Second, the garden and surrounding area looked abandoned, clearly not matching the outdated, misleading pictures. Third, after a 9‑hour drive we discovered the shower didn’t work; the owner said “it’s the pump, I can’t fix it,” so my husband tinkered and got a weak stream going. Fourth, our room door was falling apart and let daylight in. Fifth, the bathroom was tiny with a minuscule sink and no shelf, so our toiletries ended up on the floor by the toilet. Sixth, the air‑conditioning blew lukewarm air. Finally, we found cockroaches in the room.
