Hotel Abendstern, a renovated 2014‑2015 boutique hotel in a historic Berlin building, offers modern rooms with free Wi‑Fi, hot‑drink stations, cable TV, work desks, and toiletries. Located opposite Charlottenburg S‑Bahn, it is a 10‑minute walk to Kurfürstendamm and a 5‑minute stroll to cafés, bars, and restaurants. Direct S‑Bahn links reach Alexanderplatz, Berlin Zoo, and Tegel Airport.

The location was good, close to the metro station, the hotel was clean and the beds comfortable. The room faced the main road, and because there was no air conditioning we kept the windows open, which meant we slept very little due to the noise from traffic and the metro passing by even at night on weekends.

The hotel was centrally located with shops, bars, restaurants and the S-Bahn station all nearby, and the staff were friendly.

The hotel was just a few steps from the S- and long-distance train station in Charlottenburg, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was surprisingly spacious and spotless, though plain in furnishings, and there were plenty of towels. The bed was usable, and because the room faced the courtyard I could sleep absolutely peacefully, even with the window open. The price for the room was fair and the internet was good. The area, however, is situated between various döner shops and shisha bars, so it isn’t particularly cozy. There is no breakfast, but the train station offers a wide selection of sandwiches and coffee. The washbasin had a crack that caused some water to drip into the trash can – not a big deal. The TV was quite small and offered only a few channels, but who really needs a TV in Berlin? You can’t expect 4‑star comfort from a 3‑star hotel at this price point. If you need a quiet, clean, and reasonably priced place to stay for a night or two, you can book here and sleep well.

The place was not clean – there were hairs on the bed, on the bathroom floor, and the toilet, sink, and shower were all dirty. I had to disinfect and clean everything myself. The ladies at reception were very unfriendly, gave me the wrong form because they thought I was a different person who had booked an apartment instead of a hotel room, and behaved in a racist and rude manner until they realized their mistake, yet they showed no real remorse.
