We liked the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and the comfort of the room. A special mention to Lison for the quality of her service at breakfast. We didn’t like that, even though we had booked in June, the pool was under renovation and the restaurant was closed for the weekend.

Pool. The lunch was closed too early. At 9:30 we were rushed and told we didn’t have time to eat.

The hotel sits right at the entrance of Orford Park, a great spot.

The location and the friendliness of most staff were good, and the lunch buffet had plenty of options. I was disappointed to find the pool out of order, and we weren't told about it when we booked or when I called a week before arrival to confirm everything. That was a key reason we chose this hotel. I was also let down by one housekeeper who ignored me after I greeted her and kept chatting with her colleague, which felt rude, unlike the other housekeeper who took time to answer and helped me. We were staying to celebrate our wedding anniversary, which I mentioned during booking and on the confirmation call, yet no special touches were offered, unlike the attention we received at other hotels for our 25th anniversary. The previous stay had a warm welcome and small gestures that made us return, but this time the experience was completely different and disappointing, though I suppose it's just a matter of perspective.
