The staff were friendly and my room was just for me, which was great. The hostel was almost empty, and there were a few stairs to climb, but it wasn’t too bad if you’re fit. Free water was provided, but the food was a bit pricey; you could walk down the road for cheaper options. The daytime rest or eating spots were scorching hot, even though they had plenty of fans, they did nothing about it. I was sweating like a pig and had to stay in my room, which was uncomfortable for long periods.

The staff were very kind, the rooms were spacious and nice, and the bar was beautiful. The room wasn’t very clean; we found used toiletries from previous guests and fake eyelashes stuck to the bathroom walls. Our room was on the top floor, which was a bit tiring to reach.

The views are amazing, and the steps can feel intimidating at first, but once you reach the top it’s worth it. The room had AC and a hot shower, and the food was also amazing with a mix of Khmer and Western dishes.

The central spot makes it easy to get to everything, and the private room on the hillside was clean, comfy, and offered sunrise or ocean views at times. The stone stair climb will definitely get you a workout, but it’s manageable once you get used to it.
