The spot near the Don Det dock is great; Don Det itself is small, but the hotel sits in a very good location. You can rent bikes on site for 30 KIP a day and book activities. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant is good and very reasonably priced.

Everything was wonderful: the breakfast was spectacular, the service was fantastic, they arranged a trip to the waterfalls, the beds were comfortable and luxurious, and walking to the pier takes only 3 minutes, making island navigation easy. I would definitely come back.

I stayed seven nights in a room that opens onto the pool and will share a photo soon. The pool area is spacious enough for sun all day, with plenty of lounges and umbrella‑topped tables, and the whole place is well‑maintained and feels like a tropical garden. My room had a patio with a table and chairs, the air‑con worked well, and the Wi‑Fi was strong. The bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful but not intrusive. I ate lunch at the hotel restaurant most days, which I really liked. The room was excellent, especially the wall of windows overlooking the pool, but that pool really made the hotel memorable. As a retired Californian traveling Asia‑wide, I recommend the Lebijou Guesthouse in Don Det.

The pool is lovely and the location is great. The rooms are very basic but clean and comfortable enough. The internet barely worked during the two nights we stayed, so we had no phone or TV. The shower head had to be held to get a shower, which isn’t a big deal, but it’s frustrating when washing your hair. There are gaps around the windows, walls, and doors, so geckos come into the room and are noisy. There are no mattresses on the wooden sun loungers, making lying by the pool very uncomfortable.
