“Great central location. The stay can be great if certain aspects are improved.”
We stayed here for the second time and the building itself is full of character and charm. The location is also as central as it can be. The stay was great except I’m sorry to say the facilities have deteriorated a bit since the last time I stayed here. Some staff was very courteous - a special mention to the bellboy who works there during weekdays. - Unfortunately when we first arrived after a long flight, our rooms were not ready which is fine because this happens and we may have arrived a few minutes earlier than checkin time. But then we were sent to the terrace for ‘welcome drinks’ which never arrived and we were completely forgotten. The only time I was told two out of three rooms were ready was when I came downstairs myself to ask. - Basic amenities in our room, such as soap, was never replaced for the 5 days we were there. So we were washing our hands with shower gel. - One of my favourite things from my last time was the à la carte breakfast at the restaurant. Unfortunately, they weren’t serving that any longer. The buffet had limited options and when we got there all the dishes were sitting empty, so we decided to dine elsewhere
