“Great 1 night central location stop over”
The President suite was lovely, and the Guest house has great vintage heritage. It needs a revamp and a newer, more spacious shower.
“Overall, this is a cut above what might expect from a guesthouse or B&B for business travellers.”
The hotel is very attractive with a lovely garden setting. Individual suites make for a more peaceful stay. The suite was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the buffet breakfast excellent. I had one evening meal (fish and chips) that exceeded my expectations because Little Tuscany does not highlight that it offers a restaurant per se. The food was tasty and the portion generous. The eat‑in option at night is great for those who don’t want the hassle of going out after a busy day. The staff were helpful and resolved problems promptly. Little Tuscany is a pleasant place to stay after a full day at a conference or meeting clients. The complimentary airport transfer was a welcome bonus. The geyser above my bathroom made a loud noise when hot water was used in the adjoining suites—quite disturbing late at night and early in the morning. It seems one HWC services multiple suites, which might explain why there was not always enough hot water. The plug in the wash‑hand basin did not work properly—challenging when shaving as the water just flowed out. WiFi sometimes went down, although not for long; this might have been the provider’s fault, not the hotel’s. On the first night, the electricity went out and the generator had a problem, but staff attended to it and the issue was resolved without much inconvenience. Service in the restaurant at night seemed a little slow. Menu options are limited, although I realize the hotel does not provide a restaurant per se, and many travelers may want to eat out.
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, thanks to the friendly staff and clean rooms. There weren't any major issues to report, and I appreciated the warm welcome I received. The hotel's service was top-notch, and I felt right at home during my visit.
“Generally comfortable”
The breakfasts were monotonous. The rooms lack privacy unless you keep your curtain closed; the next room can clearly see inside. Maybe they should use opaque glass.
My stay had its ups and downs - I loved the hotel's convenient location and warm atmosphere, and the staff were incredibly friendly. However, I was a bit disappointed with my room, which overlooked the pool and lacked net or privacy curtains. To make matters worse, a party broke out by the pool, but I was out and about a lot, so it didn't bother me too much. Overall, it was a mixed experience.
