Haikou Banana Hostel is an excellent and convenient place to stay. The staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and cooperative, making the overall experience very pleasant. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and comfortable, almost as if I were at home. The place is right in the middle of everything and the layout is straightforward, which I liked. However, if you’re visiting for the first time it can be a bit tricky to spot. Overall, convenient but not the easiest to find at first.

The staff were genuinely welcoming, and the location is spot‑on—right between Baishamen Park, the beach, and the old town. I couldn’t ask for a better base.

They pointed me toward nearby restaurants, malls, pharmacies and banks, which was super helpful. The only hiccup was the language barrier; translating some info took a bit of effort.
