The hotel sits in the Nubian village on Elephant Island. If it’s not peak season and rooms aren’t full, you can ask for early check‑in. We arrived in Aswan at 7 a.m. and went straight to the hotel; the check‑in went smoothly. The room was clean and tidy, and the fridge was cold enough. Mr. Mahmoud is very warm, patient, polite, and friendly, and all the hotel staff are great. The Nubians I met were also very friendly. I had a wonderful and unforgettable time in Aswan.

The hotel offers a boat that lets you reach Assouan at dawn, giving you a superb view and absolute calm. The kitchenette lacks enough equipment for cooking.

The staff were very helpful, and the hotel sits on Elephant Island, but getting there is just a matter of taking a boat that departs every 5 minutes for 15 Egyptian pounds. I stayed in a whole apartment but only used the double room, and everything matched the description. Everything was fine.
