Spacious, comfy rooms with top‑quality bath products and spotlessly clean linens; the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered a wide range of sweet and savory options, all of excellent quality. Dinner was also good, with a decent variety of refined dishes made from high‑quality ingredients (though we might have liked larger portions and less “gourmet” focus). The canederli were exceptional and a must‑try. Every afternoon the staff provided a modest snack, a real treat after tiring hikes. Free Wi‑Fi performed well in speed and stability. On the downside, there was a meat‑free day that felt imposed; we’d rather decide what to eat on vacation and only had to miss the usual good cold cuts at breakfast because it fell on our departure day. The hotel is about 7 km from the town centre, which gives a quiet stay but makes a post‑dinner walk difficult, especially since the road to San Vigilio di Marebbe lacks guardrails, has narrow spots, and turns that can be hazardous if you’re not comfortable driving under those conditions. The route from the opposite side (toward Valdaora) is better but 11 km away. I strongly recommend booking half‑board (not just for the food quality!). The price of bottled water is high; the water is unfiltered, yet the room sign says the tap water is perfectly drinkable, which seems contradictory.
