After arriving we decided to leave the cottage immediately. We found it dirty, more like “old dirt” and neglect, hard to clean quickly: stained upholstered furniture, pillows, blankets, rolled dust in hard‑to‑reach places like bedroom floors, many dust and spider webs, dried food stains in the fridge, torn mosquito nets on windows (the place is in the middle of a forest); plus hair in the bathtub. The surrounding area was heavily overgrown, inaccessible, and untidy. We booked a two‑week vacation with a 5‑month‑old baby, which we mentioned during booking. The hygiene and living standards were unacceptable, leaving no hope for quick fixes. The cottage is also much smaller than the photos suggest. There was no baby crib, probably because there was no space to put one. Despite clear grounds for a complaint and photographic evidence, the property refuses to cooperate or acknowledge the claim. We will pursue legal action.
