The place was extremely clean.

Maria was super friendly and kind; we felt very at ease. We received an upgrade to a larger room that was beautiful, spotless, and flawless. The best part was the view from the terrace of the castle and the old town, especially at night. The castle, old town, bazaar, and restaurants are within a few minutes on foot. Parking is directly in front of the accommodation at the gate. Tip: wander off the tourist paths in Gjirokastra; it's gorgeous. At Bulevardi 18 Shtatori you can do a little shopping. There was nothing we didn't like; we just wish we could have stayed longer. The only thing to know: the accommodation is up on the hill in the old town area, which has many very narrow, steep streets with slick paving. IMPORTANT: Google Maps doesn't work correctly here and leads you through narrow alleys and dead ends where turning around is extremely difficult. Maria sends you directions on the day of arrival via . It's also good to go via Bulevardi 18 Shtatori.
Everything was perfect. Maria was an incredible host and her husband even stepped in when Google Maps got us lost. The view of the castle and town below was the best I've seen.
Maria's warmth, the beautiful terrace, the location, and her excellent breakfast were all fantastic. The only downside was that our toilet was in the hallway; I think nowadays that should not be offered!
