The hotel looked good, seemed to offer free laundry machines, the room was clean, breakfast was decent, and the price was reasonable. Some guests seemed upset and were spreading rumors about pests.

“This used to be our go to hotel in Medicine Hat…not anymore”

The bed was comfortable and the front‑desk clerk was very pleasant. The room appeared clean, yet used towels from previous guests hung on a hook behind the bathroom door, the bathroom floor needed a thorough clean, and the baseboard trim and corners had not been cleaned in a long time. The room’s coffee machine came with two cups, one sugar packet, two artificial sweeteners, no creamer, one decaf coffee pouch, and an opened tea bag pouch. At checkout the staff member was scrolling on his phone; I told him I wanted to check out, he asked my name and said “Ok you are done.” I had to ask for a copy of my bill, which he then gave me.

It was okay, but it felt a bit worn out, especially outside.
