“10/10 – Wundervoller Aufenthalt”

We spent two gorgeous nights at the Crystal Water Inn and wholeheartedly recommend it. The host was incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive, even picking us up in his Tuk‑Tuk and taking us to a beautiful waterfall on the first day. We truly appreciated his heartfelt hospitality and personal care. The little cottage right in the jungle is stunning, quiet, and incredibly relaxing—a perfect spot to unwind, enjoy the silence, and take a break. The food was an absolute highlight; we had the best breakfast and dinner we’ve had in Sri Lanka, with fantastic Rice & Curry and fresh, lovingly prepared breakfast. Thank you for this wonderful stay. We’d return anytime! ❤️

“Merveilleux !”

We absolutely loved everything! The location, surrounded by jungle and mountains… the fantastic welcome from Charly and his family, who went out of their way to please us, even taking us for a half‑day up the mountains and to a river where we swam. The breakfasts and dinners were very good. The cottage was very well equipped, clean… An authentic stay that left a mark on our trip! Nothing negative, we loved everything.

“Little piece of paradise in rural Sri Lanka .. wish we could have stayed longer !!!”

This was my favorite stay in Sri Lanka during the three weeks I’ve been here. Surrounded by nature with stunning mountain views right from the comfy couches on the balcony. Our young host Shali took us for a walk to a local waterfall, which was such a treat and a wonderful way to get to know him and join his vision for tourism here. Shali’s wife and Mum cooked us an amazing curry and rice dinner, including banana flower fritters we picked up from a local on our walk! Our breakfast was the tastiest I’ve had in Sri Lanka, with ingredients straight from the farm. We felt totally spoiled and looked after. We wish you all the best for your future endeavors. The only downside was that we could only stay one night because it was booked out!

“Relaxing and peaceful stay in a quiet nature setting with lovely people and amazing food”

This was one of the most relaxing place I've ever stayed. You are completely surrounded by trees and rice paddies, the only sounds you hear are the birds (there are lots of beautiful peacocks on the property). There is a tremendous view of the mountain from the patio, and it's a lovely spot to just sit, read, and unwind. The bed was comfy and the room and bathroom were very clean. There was also a kitchenette to make tea and store things in the fridge. Making meals was unnecessary though as the home cooked meals 3 times a day were outstanding, real traditional Sri Lankan meals that were some of the best I've had, you will not go hungry! The hospitality was probably the best part though, the owners were so friendly and welcoming, it was like being with folks you have known for a long time. They even took me on a little day trip to a local river with a swimming area and into town to see the local market and spice shop. It is a functioning farm as well so you will eat the rice they grow themselves. I wish I was able to stay more than a few nights, I will certainly be back to stay longer and do some hiking at mini worlds end and to get some more of the amazing food. Much love to the family at Crystal Water!
