The lobby looked nice, but they never told us the building was under construction. We had to pay a tourist fee as a kamaaina, couldn't access the balcony, and there was a huge hole with a large piece of the building exposed. The toilet even had hair on it.

The location is great, the staff are welcoming and helpful, and the rooms and facilities are clean and good. They could add a few more vegetarian options to the breakfast.

It’s close to the beach, but the breakfast was mediocre, the elevators were slow, and the front desk guy was rude. There was no shower pressure, and work was happening next to us from 9 am without any notice. The room was dated; I booked a room with a sofa, but it turned out to be an armchair shoved into a corner. The pool area felt uninviting, and an emergency alarm went off at 1 am—false alarm—but the hotel never communicated or apologized.

The location is great, near everything in Waikiki. They provide beach towels and a chair, plus water bottle refill stations on the first floor. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The AC technically worked but wasn’t very strong. We found a few ants in our fourth‑floor room, not many but noticeable. Breakfast was offered, but the quality was lacking—typical sad buffet eggs and pancakes. Luggage storage is available before and after your visit, but it’s in the open lobby and they just run a cable through your bags to lock them together—we didn’t feel safe leaving our bags there, as anyone could walk up and unzip a backpack.
