The couple who run the hotel are incredibly friendly and accommodating, making you feel right at home. The beach is great, clean, and furnished with lounge chairs under umbrellas. What’s best is the seclusion—almost no one else around. The house sits amid trees, with monkeys playing nearby and wild peacocks close to the shore. It’s wonderfully quiet and relaxing.

I really enjoyed my stay at Black Forest Resort. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed. The owner and chef prepared a delicious meal for me, making me feel at home. Every dish was exceptional and generous. The resort sits in the middle of the jungle on a pristine, empty beach, with shaded areas where you can lie on beach beds away from the sun. At night, I would lie on the beach under a sky full of stars. They arranged amazing massages at the nearby Ayurvedic Clinic, the best and most reasonable I’ve had in Sri Lanka. If you want peace, quiet, and deep relaxation with kind staff who try to meet every need, this is the place for you. It was an incredibly soul‑soothing experience.

The Black Forest Hotel is simply wonderful. Here you can find peace and relaxation. This place shows a real attention and love to detail. The team at the Black Forest Hotel are incredibly warm and always make sure you’re completely comfortable. The food is simply delicious. You really must invite yourself to dinner here. If you love peace and quiet, nature and design, you’ll find the perfect place here. Thank you so much for the days I spent at your hotel.
