The site was conveniently located; we stayed on our way from Cochem to Vianden looking for something different than a hotel, and we found it. The campsite was easy to reach and not your typical camping experience, so for those used to that it feels like a real upgrade. However, when booking it wasn’t mentioned that towels weren’t available, and we only learned that later via the booking chat. We had to go out and buy towels ourselves. The curtains don’t block out light, so you wake up early. The bed is hard and narrow, which might be better in high season when you can spend more time outside and there’s more activity at the campsite.
Everything you need when you’re traveling on the road is provided. There’s a private (clean) bathroom and the owner is friendly.
“Cute but warm”
The room is very cute! I stayed when it was around 37 °C and the fan was broken. When I asked, they said they didn’t have an extra fan.
A lovely campsite that’s quiet and empty out of season—though I’m not sure how it would be in high season. The barrel experience was great and I slept better than expected. It’s good that each person has a private sanitation cabin, but it’s a few meters away and the 16 € for bedding (8 € per person) on top of the rental price feels a bit steep.
“Brilliant stay, clean, fantastic location”
The pod was very clean, as was the bathroom, and having a private bathroom to stash toiletries was a real plus. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great for exploring, with a bus stop right at the entrance—very regular and easy to use, which was handy since we didn’t have a car. The nearest shop is a 15‑minute walk into town; there’s no shop on site and the bar’s hours and options are limited, so it’s best to shop on the way. The site is very quiet, perfect for day trips and a good night’s rest, and the bakery’s breakfast deliveries to reception are fantastic. The only downside is the lack of a shop on site and the limited bar hours.
