The hotel is very well located, and I have to say that the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was a major disappointment. The rooms are extremely outdated and look like they have not been renovated in decades. The overall atmosphere is very old-fashioned, but not in a charming vintage way. There was also a very strong smell in the room, apparently coming from the old nylon wallpaper, which made the room quite unpleasant. The air conditioning system is extremely old and appeared to be poorly maintained, with a noticeable musty smell. It definitely needs to be replaced or completely renovated. The bed was also very uncomfortable, and unfortunately we did not get a good night’s sleep. The bathroom clearly needs renovation as well, and the terrace attached to our room was in very poor condition and looked neglected. For a four-star hotel, I was also surprised that there was no iron available in the room or as a standard facility. Although the hotel is officially presented as a four-star property, based on the condition of the rooms and facilities, it felt closer to a two-star hotel to us. The only reason we stayed was because we had very limited options at the time and needed somewhere to sleep. Otherwise, I would not choose this hotel again. Good location and nice staff, but the property itself is seriously in need of renovation and modernization. I would not return. The location was perfect, but the breakfast wasn’t particularly special, though there was plenty of it and the rest was good.

I was left frustrated by the taxi booking for the outbound trip—after asking three times for a child seat, the driver still showed up without one. When I called the front desk from the airport for help, the receptionist hung up and told me to wait until the next morning to speak with the manager. The hotel itself felt old and dirty, with terrible soundproofing; the curtains could not be closed because the windows were only 2 or 3 meters away. Breakfast was a disappointment: supermarket cheese, almost spoiled fruit, dry pastries that didn’t taste fresh, and even the scrambled eggs were overcooked. The coffee was awful, which is surprising coming from Italy. On the day of departure, we again requested a taxi with a child seat for our daughter, but the driver arrived without it. The hotel supplied us with a filthy chair that the receptionist shook on the street because it was covered in dust; a passerby even handed him a bolt while mocking him. The receptionist clearly seemed fed up, saying “you’re going to ask me to drive you to the airport or what?” The taxi cost 70 euros, even though the sign on the door advertised 55 euros for the airport route, and the driver was a danger, speeding at 140 on a 90 road; I had to ask him several times to slow down to 110/120. It was, by far, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
