The hotel was in an excellent city location, yet housekeeping was pretty poor. I stayed three nights and my dirty water tumblers were never replaced. The breakfast area was understaffed, leaving very few uncluttered tables. Many breakfast items and crockery ran out. I felt the hotel was overpriced for the service it offered.

The location was fantastic and the staff adorable, but it was expensive for what it was… Arriving at 5 pm, the room wasn’t ready. The bar/restaurant looked like a hospital waiting room.

The hotel sits on a quiet spot between the station and city centre, easy to reach. Rooms are tidy with good beds and a decent bathroom. Staff are friendly and the place looks fine. I missed a chair in the room; there is a desk chair that sits well but has no wheels, making it hard to move. Even though Oxford Castle is opposite the hotel, my room faced the courtyard where the air‑con is, so it wasn’t a great view, though it wasn’t noisy either. Breakfast was fine, but the “scrambled eggs” clearly weren’t freshly made (no boiled eggs). Small details aside, for that price you expect everything to be top.

The location was great, close to colleges and Westgate mall just a 2‑3 minute walk away, and you don’t need a car for Oxford centre. The bus terminal is only a 7‑8 minute walk. After arriving from the airport, you can reach the hotel without any transport. I understand the room didn’t have slippers or cotton, but it was the first time I encountered a hotel without a hair dryer, so I had to leave the shower with wet hair.
