I liked the location because it’s right in the city centre, with restaurants and cafés just a short walk away. As for the negatives, where do I start? First, the cleanliness was awful – we arrived and, like anyone else, checked the room, only to find black hairs on the bed that must have belonged to the previous guest, and the same in the shower drain. That was already pretty disgusting. Then the room didn’t match the photos or description; the shower was placed in the middle of the room, so every time we used it the whole bathroom got soaked. The breakfast was also not as advertised – there was no bread, just cake and pastries, and they should have clearly stated that it isn’t a standard buffet. There was no air‑conditioning at all, which wasn’t a problem until we opened the window at night and warm air from the restaurant’s AC blew straight into it, leaving the room constantly hot. On top of that we were overcharged: the total was supposed to be €1300, we were billed €1287, which should have left only €13 outstanding, yet we were asked to pay €33, far too much. Overall the hotel was terrible, although the staff were very nice; the room was disappointing, the bathroom didn’t match the description, and the cleanliness was seriously lacking, so we left a day early.

The staff were hospitable, welcoming, and the cleanliness was meticulous.

The bed was comfortable and the room clean, but the deafening noise from Via Aurelia every night, regardless of the day, makes first‑floor rooms facing the street impossible to charge the same price as the others.

Everything about the hotel was spotless, especially the cleanliness.
