Everything about this hotel is amazing

Everything was gorgeous, relaxing and fun—wow! Every detail was stellar and the experience was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.

We expected a luxurious stay, but it turned out to be almost nothing; the worst luxury hotel experience ever. The staff were poorly trained or not trained at all, and the price was absurd for what was offered. Basic facilities didn’t work, communication with the hotel was extraordinarily difficult, and the service consistently fell short of even reasonable expectations—let alone those of a luxury property. Our stay was deeply disappointing and nowhere near the level of service expected from a Graff‑branded hotel. As Graff jewellery clients who chose this hotel for our honeymoon, we anticipated the same attention to detail, refinement and exceptional service associated with the brand. Instead, from arrival onward, almost every aspect fell short. We booked the best room category for couples because it featured a private heated pool, but despite being advertised as heated, the pool was so cold we couldn’t use it even once. We asked the hotel to raise the temperature and were told it couldn’t be made any warmer—an extreme disappointment for a top room where the heated private pool is a key feature. Even basic room facilities failed: the shower didn’t work properly, and the telephone in our lounge was non‑functional. This was a bigger issue because the lounge is far from reception and the main hotel areas. With the in‑room telephone out of order, there was no reliable way to contact staff. WhatsApp messages often went unanswered, and mobile reception from the lounge was poor. Consequently, whenever we needed assistance, I had to keep trying to call the hotel from my own international phone.

A dreamlike accommodation, almost everything was perfect. The only drawback is that during the off‑season, from Sunday to Wednesday evening, guests can only dine at the Japanese specialty restaurant, not at the main restaurant. This is especially important for those who enjoy local cuisine, so it should be known in advance.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at; it defines ultra‑luxury.
