I travel regularly between Maryland and Florida, and when I was heading south near the 4 Oaks area I booked a room there. I’m glad I chose 4 Oaks and will book again. My trip was delayed by road construction and a car problem, so I arrived very late, but their system still let me into the room I’d ordered. The room itself was fine and check‑in was easy. The only issue is that I had to use answering machines to contact 4 Oaks more than I’d had to with other hotels; their office was closed when I checked out, so I just left my key in a box and left. I had a few questions, but they can be sorted out next time.

It smelled moldy, the shower head was rusty, and it was nowhere near the quality that was advertised; it felt like a one‑ or two‑star place.
