Foxhunt at Sapphire Valley

“Great, convenient stay in well appointed unit.”

The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient with good amenities; I especially liked the view of the pond. The only downside was that not many rooms had that view, and the decor was a bit dated with orange tones, though the new off‑white walls were a welcome change but still made the overall look feel old.

“The condo was more than adequate, clean, and a good pitstop between activities.”

The location was great for hiking and waterfalls, and the resort’s amenities at Sapphire Valley were nearby. The condo was very spacious, had a small laundry area and a safe, and the balconies were nice. The check‑in staff were helpful. However, the condo had a musty smell, probably from the rainforest‑like humidity, which faded once we set the AC to 68. The 1970s brown and gold colors made the space feel very dark, but the lighting was enough to compensate. The king‑size mattress was pretty hard, not what we’re used to, and there are a lot of stairs both outside and inside.

The house itself was lovely—well equipped and very comfortable. The downside was that it was far from any activities (about a 2‑mile drive to the pool and attractions), and it was a nightmare to locate; we arrived after the office had closed and received no clear directions on how to get to the house or check‑in. We ended up waiting outside for roughly two hours until someone finally helped us, which was really disappointing.

I got mixed up trying to check in at the office.
