It’s great that local guests also visit the Hirschen restaurant; the surroundings with the cheese shop, butcher, the Emme and the Alps in the background are nice. The density of flies in the restaurant (which the staff can’t control) was a problem.

The village vibe, the room’s style and décor, the view, the corner with the coffee machine, the early check‑in at 4 am, and the reception lady who spoke French were all great, and the breakfast was one of the best—mostly savory, with fewer pastries than usual.

Our stay at the hotel was pleasant, with a good location and a super breakfast buffet. However, the bathroom arrangement was a bit of a letdown, with a shower instead of a bathtub.
