“Es war bisher der schlechteste Aufenthalt an der Ostsee.”
We stayed five nights booked via Booking. We added one night at the hotel on short notice. Unfortunately, we were assigned a room on the land side instead of the sea side because the change didn’t reflect the sea side. We pointed out the mistake but had to wait almost an hour for a response. The hotel offered us four nights in a suite at the Preussenhof and then a move to our originally booked room. We declined because it was my birthday that day and I didn’t want to pack again. We settled for a discount and the offered room. The size was okay, but the furnishings were very worn—dirty carpet and spotted walls. After three days the shower water no longer drained properly. The worst part was that the room was never cleaned during our stay; a “cleaning” sign hung on the door. We had to get new towels and toilet paper from the reception. We’ve stayed in many hotels, but this price‑quality ratio doesn’t suit me. Daily construction at the neighboring hotel caused noise that could only be tolerated with windows closed. Breakfast and dining were fine. We wanted a stress‑free holiday, especially since my husband and I spent our birthday on the Baltic Sea. Overall, I can’t recommend this hotel.
