Staff. There were no restaurants nearby or a way to eat, so I had to leave the hotel. The bathroom and room facilities are basic, and aside from towels there’s nothing else.

The hotel is beautiful and modernly renovated, yet it still retains its old charm. The staff were extremely friendly and the beds were comfortable. The location is stunning, making it our favorite accommodation on our Japan trip so far, and we also recommend the sauna.

The staff were adorable and provided everything I needed to clean my bike upon arrival, which I appreciated. The nearby shrine is stunning.

It’s easy to locate the accommodation beside a river, which is very soothing, and a short walk leads to a lovely temple area. The modern décor is appealing, and the top‑floor rooms feature a full kitchen and a clean bathroom with a modern bathtub. Check‑in was smooth and the staff were lovely, making for a great night’s stay. It would have been nice to have a staff member on site at check‑out to say goodbye.
