“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to people seeking a more unique experience”
Lala Mundi offers a unique, authentic stay in a lovely Georgian property. It is slightly off the beaten track but very accessible to other nearby locations and well served by public transport options. John was very responsive to any queries. The suite was lovely and spacious as well as having its own en suite. Very comfortable bed and high level of cleanliness. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very steep narrow stairs to the top floor but we were aware of this when we booked, though it may not suit someone with limited mobility. Brading itself is a bit run down in places but still has some great places to eat within walking distance of the property as well as sites of historic interest such as the Roman Villa.
Location. The room was very hot even with the fan.
“Friendly, convenient, relaxing”
Lala Mundi sits in Brading’s heart as a 16th‑to‑18th‑century townhouse, and its hidden garden with scattered sculptures offers plenty of quiet spots to unwind. The house showcases John’s eclectic art, sculpture, painting and curiosity collection, setting it apart from other lodgings. John was very friendly, offered directions, and suggested local eateries. A village shop is next door and pubs lie just a few metres away, making the central spot ideal. The weather felt a bit warm, but John supplied a fan.
“Nice property-not for limited mobility.”
Very nice room. Good parking. As it is an old property the stairs are difficult to access the top floor. Other floors might be better
“Fantastic host, intriguing property and great location”
The property is jam-packed with fantastic artwork and sits on the main high street, surrounded by shops and bus stops. Just watch the narrow stair steps—they’re not suitable for elderly guests.
