“Ótima!”
The breakfast was excellent. The TV kept a light on, illuminating the room, and the bed felt a bit hard.
“Decepcionante”
I didn’t like anything. I booked because I needed to stay in Barra da Tijuca and was looking for a four‑star hotel facing the sea, well located and that felt secure, but that wasn’t what I found. I paid for a sea‑view room, but it was far away and barely visible. The view was blocked by a beach tent, a bar on the promenade, and vegetation. The hotel isn’t on the sand, the room windows are small and old. I didn’t enjoy the experience. I booked hoping for a Mercure standard, but the hotel basically operates together with the ibis, sharing the same reception, the same breakfast, and other common areas. Maybe the rooms are different, but overall the experience is closer to an economy‑class hotel than a Mercure. The hotel looks old and the breakfast offers few healthy options, comparable to a two‑star hotel. Even though it faces the sea, the surrounding area feels odd and doesn’t convey safety. For the price charged, the cost‑benefit doesn’t add up.
I didn’t stay in the Mercure accommodation; I was told there was a leak and they moved me to an ibis room. I didn’t stay in the Mercure accommodation; I was told there was a leak and they moved me to an ibis room.
The hotel is wonderful, the rooms are great and very comfortable, and the service was also very good. The restaurant inside the hotel is also excellent. The breakfast was shared with Ibis guests, so there were many people in the area, making the experience a little chaotic, but the food was still great.
“Boa hospedagem”
The breakfast was good, though a bit crowded at some times. The room had good space. I found the single beds were too close together.
