Lovely guesthouse in a great location for all that St Andrews has to offer; breakfast was freshly prepared to order and served with a smile. Plenty of free on‑road parking nearby. Many returning guests were staying during our visit, which is always a good sign 👍🏼. Our room was compact with a small ensuite shower and a comfortable bed. All good 👍🏼

I had a perfect stay, nothing to complain about.

The guesthouse sits just a couple of streets from the bustling town centre, which was convenient. We parked our car right across the street. The room was tidy and welcoming, though quite small; we stayed in room 2. The street outside was noisy with students partying late into the night, something Annandale couldn’t control. Other guests also kept the doors banging loudly, so we didn’t sleep well that night. The pillows were too thick and uncomfortable, leaving me with a stiff neck in the morning. Water pressure was extremely low, so we couldn’t even shower at 07:00 on Sunday. We left before breakfast because we just wanted to head home after the restless night, departing at 07:30 for our long journey back to Oxfordshire. The room was fine, but the lack of sleep and poor shower pressure ruined it for us.

I give it 0/5. We were on the first floor between the kitchen and dining room, and the noise was unbearable (see photos). The dining room was on the left, our room in the middle, kitchen on the right. We were awake all night from people coming and going. We were the only guests on that floor, and the front door was right next to the kitchen and dining room. At 7 am we could hear everything. The staff even left the kitchen window open so we could hear every conversation (see photo; the alleyway is right outside our bedroom window). When my partner asked staff for help, they replied, “I’ve stayed there and never heard anything. We’ve been here for 9 years and never got a complaint.” Instead of addressing our issue, they talked about their own experience, which was rude and uncaring. So don’t stay here. The room cost 355 pounds, yet I’ve stayed at cheaper hostels with less noise.
