The hotel has a pub where you can hang out after a day exploring Edinburgh, with good atmosphere and good beer; the room was small but very comfortable, with a very comfortable bed and a very clean, spacious bathroom. I had nothing particular to complain about.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was gorgeous, modern, cosy, and immaculately clean, with a fabulous atmosphere and a great selection of drinks at the bar.

The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, the room was a good size with adequate storage, and the shower had good water pressure and temperature; shower gel and shampoo were provided, which was a nice touch. There were some signs of wear and tear in the room and bathroom, but that was expected given the price and the fact that it was a two‑star property.

We were able to park in a free zone, and the lady who received us was very pleasant. The bathroom was in a shabby condition, the room's isolation left us cold and we could hear the street and neighbours, the headboards had large stains, the mattress had a hole in the middle, indicating the bedding was not recent.
