Hotel City Locarno, a 2016-renovated hotel, is situated in the heart of Locarno, just 100 metres from Lake Maggiore and the ship pier, and 300 metres from Piazza Grande. On-site garage parking is available. The hotel offers 300 metres to Piazza Grande, free WiFi, and bright rooms with flat-screen TVs and private bathrooms, within a 20 km radius of Lugano Airport and 900 metres from Madonna del Sasso Church.

The City Hotel is perfectly positioned by the lake and Piazza Grande, the breakfast buffet was varied and neatly presented, and the double room was functional and kept very clean; the only downside was that the bathroom and shower felt a bit small.

I keep coming back because the staff are super friendly and the hotel sits right in the center.

Breakfast was good, coffee was good, the location is central, and the staff are friendly; the only issue was the narrow gym.
