Spreewälder Ferienpension

Everything is brand new and very beautiful. The tourist tax was only charged upon departure, so the guest cards were useless.

The host was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and bright. We also liked the bathroom with a walk‑in shower. Breakfast was nothing special (which is fine) but completely adequate. We especially appreciated the spacious, lockable bike garage with charging for e‑bikes, and I was able to park my bike carrier there.

We stayed in a holiday apartment that was set up with a lot of love. Nothing was missing at all. Unfortunately we were only there for 2 nights. If we ever come back to the area, we’d love to stay again.

Nice modern holiday apartments; we had unit 2+5. A parking spot was right in front of us. There’s an outdoor area accessible from the main entrance. The kind landlord lives on the adjacent property and could answer all our questions. A small stream runs right in front of the house, the landlord also offers boats and bicycles. There’s also a very good boat rental 10 min on foot away. The harbor is also within walking distance. In the upper unit the many slanted walls can feel a bit tight here and there, but it’s not problematic. Because there are several holiday units and a vacation house on the property, there can be interactions with other guests, for example the two balconies on the upper floor are directly next to each other. We felt comfortable here, but since we like to grill and that’s not possible, we would probably not return.

The location was very good for my purposes. The accommodation sits on a small street, directly by a stream, and only 5 minutes from the Lübben rehab centre. The room was large and also offered a sitting area besides the sleeping area. The staff and the host were very friendly and helpful. The pension is also ideal as a starting point for cycling tours, because from there there is good access to the Spreewald cycling routes. The parking situation can be difficult at times, because only 5 vehicles can park on the property (I think there are 7 rooms or apartments). On the street only in exceptional cases should you park, because there has already been some trouble because of that. Unfortunately the room had no cooking facilities or any other way to prepare something in the evening or warm something up (e.g. a kitchen counter or cooking opportunity or microwave), because the kitchen was then locked.
