The hotel is fairly typical for its star rating and sits conveniently near the train station, making onward travel easy; the room featured fresh renovations, nice toiletries, a comfy bed and stylish décor, though the luxury suite’s window was positioned near the ceiling—a detail I missed when booking, which matters if you need natural light, and the only decent window was in the wardrobe opening onto the courtyard, offering little help. I ran into a specific problem when only two guests arrived instead of three because my daughter’s visa was delayed; formally the hotel owed me nothing, yet given the price and high rating I expected some gesture, but no price adjustment was made, whereas another Florence property refunded me for the missing third guest after a single email. When I asked the manager for any compensation, the only offer was a single breakfast, even though we stayed in the luxury suite for four nights; after a lengthy, tense discussion they allowed us to check out two hours later at 13:30, which helped because our train left at 16:00. I was shocked by the low level of customer focus—only one staff member, whose name I can’t recall, was kind enough to secure that breakfast for us, something I’ve never experienced before. The cost difference between two and three occupants in the suite exceeded €300, yet they couldn’t provide even breakfast for the whole stay as compensation, which left me quite surprised.

The place is super central and felt great even in the hot August weather, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even storing our bags and arranging airport transport.

The four‑star property feels very welcoming and truly earns its rating, but the shower seemed to have a drainage issue that caused everything to back up, and the locker was also noticeably outdated.
