“Very nice”
The place was nice, the hosts were friendly, and breakfast was good, but we ran into problems with the shower installation.

The room was roomy with two beds on the mezzanine that freed up the living area; the game room is a must-try with plenty of free family fun, breakfast had many good options, and the staff were super attentive and friendly. The mattress was comfortable, but the bed frame was a bit mobile and kept sliding whenever we moved, which took a little getting used to, otherwise the sleep was fine.

The room was spotless, though it felt pretty empty. Breakfast was decent, but the next‑day ordering system was a hassle and the owner was blunt about not wanting us to take leftovers. On the downside, the owners were icy, seemed to hover around the spa and the outdoor lounge, there were hidden cameras with no signs, the mezzanine stairs were steep for an adult, and you have to pay extra for a private spa whose pool water was cold – not worth the price. Our host was incredibly friendly and clearly took her job seriously, and the breakfast was nicely prepared with some fun attic games to keep us occupied. They even let us hang around an extra hour after checkout, which was a nice perk. The only downsides were the tiny pool and indoor garden, plus the TV in the room worked but had no channels, making it pretty useless. [/BODY]

Mettekoven is a unique spot, clean and with nice facilities for kids. Unfortunately the staff seemed overly focused on rules and spoke about guests in an irritated tone, which took away from the usual Limburg hospitality. The four‑star rating feels a bit dimmed, but a friendlier attitude would have helped. [/BODY]
