Clean and modern with good lake views, a quiet and cozy vibe with grass and a pool. When we arrived there was a very strong smell that lasted all night and made us consider changing hotels; apparently there are a couple chicken farms nearby, and the smell was extremely strong but specifically in the property, we rode the motorbike around and it wasn’t that strong. Flies were also very annoying in the morning, preventing breakfast and getting into the room, but that’s common in the area, especially near the lake.

The view of beautiful Lake Batur and Mount Awan right in front of the hotel was a highlight, the room was clean and the surrounding area was quiet enough for a good night’s sleep, the staff were kind and the breakfast egg sandwich was tasty, making the stay pleasant; however, the bathroom drain smelled bad and a swarm of flies outside each morning was a nuisance.

“Little escape”

The rooms by the lake were gorgeous, and the staff were friendly, giving me a relaxing view and letting me bring my dog Koko along for adventures. Unfortunately, the bathroom had a damp smell, a common issue in many Bali accommodations, due to poor ventilation and rising damp; I had to leave after one night because I’m very sensitive to it. The flies were unavoidable because of the natural fertilizer used.

“Prima”

They were super hospitable, and since there were no grabs in the area, a taxi was arranged for us. They also brought breakfast to our room, which helped us deal with the flies outside. I had high expectations from the pictures on Booking, but the room we stayed in was very old; for example, the shower that used to be gold has turned blue.
