The staff were very kind. The hotel is very old, kept just enough, and the location is very inconvenient because it’s on the Apennines, even though it’s in the municipality of Pistoia.

The location, the room, and the terrace are great. The check‑in was a nightmare: when we arrived, no one was there, and we had to call to arrange that we had to go to another hotel to check in! Then we had to bring our luggage up to the second floor without an elevator. Free parking is available but very hard to maneuver.

Almost everything. I stayed at this hotel back in 1967 and to this day nothing has really changed. The owner, the granddaughter of the original founder and landlord Luigi Guidi, along with her brother, were very nice and kind. The rooms and the restaurant kept their original charm with furnishings and paintings from the era. For a moment I felt like a child again, when my mother used to walk with me up the stairs or into the garden of the old pension. Tranquility and silence are guaranteed. The cooking is excellent at a very competitive price; to be picky, the breakfast could use some fresh items, but that doesn’t spoil the overall rating.
