Staying in the multi‑room tatami house on the temple grounds was a dream. The gardens were gorgeous, the facilities excellent, and the host was peaceful and welcoming. Communication was flawless, and he even guided us through a morning Buddhist chant—an unforgettable experience.
“It's a spacious and beautiful house!”
No breakfast was provided, but a fridge and microwave were available. You could buy something the night before and have a quick, easy breakfast before heading out the next day.
“Perfecto. Y súper bien atendido”
The location is just a few blocks from the bus terminal and the city center, and it has a special mystique inside a temple (which also houses a cemetery).
The house was beautiful, the beds were very comfortable, parking was easy, and the bath was nice. However, there is no kitchen or utensils, so keep that in mind. I also didn’t like that the toilet was in the other part of the house where the owner lives, making the space feel too open and shared.
“ぜひまた泊まりに行きたいです!今度は連泊したいです。”
The interior was very clean and had a great vibe. The Hagi‑yaki mushroom décor was stylish, and although the room was separated by a door, the main house is connected, so you could feel people around. The air‑conditioner kicked in quickly and the shower pressure was fine. The switches were scattered in many places, so I was unsure which switch turned off what. A corkscrew was missing from the amenities, but they kindly lent one to me. Thank you! The only issue was that the check‑in process asked whether you wanted a kimono to wear as pajamas, but I left the hotel and missed picking it up. I’d appreciate a smoother operation on that front.
