We stayed at a fully vegetarian guest house for the first time and were completely charmed. The breakfast room was delightful, the staff were very helpful, and the room felt cozy. Everything was clean and it was a great experience, even if just for one night. The only drawback was that it was a bit farther from the centre of Ambleside than we expected, so we ended up driving more than anticipated between the guest house and town.

The main house boasts amazing interior landscapes, but once you enter your bedroom it feels like a commoner’s space—zero amenities, a non‑working kettle, and freezing cold rooms despite the hot outside weather. The owner is racist, the staff is very rude, and after 48 hours they never cleaned my room; they spoke to me in a deplorable tone, publicly humiliated me, and the owners act like arrogant dinosaurs.
