The breakfast was good, the room and bathroom were spacious and nice. However, the breakfast staff didn’t ask for the room number, and the VAT invoice was not sent after we requested it.

Van der Valk Hotel de Bilt-Utrecht is a 4-star hotel situated near the Houdringse bossen forests, offering free parking. The hotel features well-appointed rooms with private bathrooms and baths. Guests enjoy an extensive breakfast buffet, lunch, and dinner at the on-site restaurant, as well as coffee in the conservatory. Utrecht city centre is 15 minutes away by car or public transport, with Jaarbeurs Conference Centre 20 minutes away by car.

The room was spacious, the bathroom was very beautiful, there was a mini fridge, coffee, and tea. Nothing else to note.

The breakfast was fine and the morning staff were pleasant. The hotel advertised newly renovated rooms, but that turned out to be a disappointment and not like the pictures. The hotel is old and on the renovation list, totally not worth the price. We also couldn’t dine in the restaurant; it seems you must book in advance, which we never heard about. It’s definitely not something for Van der Valk.

The breakfast was great with very nice staff. The price‑to‑quality ratio was poor—too expensive. There was a bouquet in the back garden. The beds were worn and sagging, and there was a musty smell.
