The hotel room was quite large, but you have to climb five very cramped stairs, like in a lighthouse.

We loved the authenticity of this beautiful 18th‑century house; our room, superbly decorated, had a lot of character with exposed beams, a pedestal bathtub, and windows overlooking the rooftops, the Meuse, and local life, giving us a sense of time travel while enjoying modern comfort. Caroline’s warm welcome, the friendly bistro counter, and the prime location in the historic district made our stay even better. The narrow, steep, irregular spiral staircase to the fourth‑floor room is part of the house’s historic charm, but it can be tough with large luggage or for someone with mobility issues, and a small fridge in the room would be appreciated.

The rooms were very pretty and comfortable, but the room and bathroom were never cleaned during the three days.

The lunch was good and original, just make sure to bring a small jar of butter.
