“Ideal for a 2 night base.”
The small site was well maintained. Some of the static homes seemed occupied, and a barrier lowered at night made me feel my car was safe. A slight hill led to a spot called Tony’s, where they serve good breakfast, fish and chips, though it closes in the evening. The clubhouse offers bingo and shuts around 9 pm, so late departures don’t disturb others. The caravan shower was fabulous, the double bed comfy, and the pillows nice. Milk, tea, and coffee were left for us, though we didn’t use them, nor did we watch TV. Wi‑Fi was decent. The cleaning was mostly fine, but I mentioned to the owner that the bin hadn’t been emptied from previous guests, which was icky, and the kitchen bowl was full of debris. The caravan feels dated, the sofa is worn, the towels are small and thin, and the bed linens are bitty. Some caravans on the site have racist statues outside their doors, which I found offensive; these statues are banned in public areas.
