The staff and location are solid, yet the lobby and room furniture show tears, the high humidity makes the carpet damp, the Asian‑Italian fusion menu falls flat, and the complimentary breakfast is mediocre.

Breakfast was decent and the front desk staff, especially Paul, is always very nice. The rooms could use an update; after decades of staying here I notice many outlets don’t work and a full walkthrough would help.

The location was great for the train, the US Open, and Great Neck; it’s a boutique hotel with breakfast, parking, a nice safe, and a good restaurant that set up a lounge to watch tennis, and the staff were great, but they didn’t clean our room on day 2 and no housekeeping was available until the next day.
