The inn isn’t a luxury resort, but it’s very clean and fully equipped. The staff are extremely friendly. There’s no breakfast, but there’s a bakery‑café directly opposite. If you’re heading toward the city centre, the walk is quite long by public transport, although a subway stop is also directly opposite. The rooms are only reachable by stairs. If you have heavy luggage or aren’t good at walking, it can be difficult.

Only the proximity to the U‑bahn station mattered. The toilet was outside the room and there was no prior notice. There was no sound insulation. The neighbours in the adjacent rooms constantly snored and talked on the phone, and the door rattled; the U‑bahn noise never let me sleep. Everything was old and falling apart. No staff were around. There’s a restaurant on the lower floor and you can only reach the staff there. It was a ridiculous place. It literally chilled me to Berlin…

The staff were very kind and flexible. The bed is very comfortable. The neighbourhood is very pleasant and has a nice bakery opposite the hotel. If your room (e.g. N 1) faces the train tracks, it can be very loud.
