Pilar in Medulin - Istrien

Accommodation excellent, clean, host wonderful, quiet and spacious…great for rest. Shops are a few meters away but still very quiet and secluded. I recommend it to everyone.

I stayed in a very friendly host’s place that was fully equipped and spotless when we took over. The neighborhood was quiet and ideal for kids, and the shops were right nearby. We had to drive everywhere because my dad couldn’t walk much, and the nearest beach stretch was a 15‑20 minute walk, which was fine for us and the kids but could be a strain for an older person.

The accommodation looked nicer than on the photos, was in a great spot on a quiet street, and a walk away from Lidl and Plodine without having to navigate tight lanes. The gear wasn’t brand new but worked well and was kept tidy. The place was spotless. Pilar was helpful and kind, and privacy was good. The kitchen and hallway air‑conditioners kept the rooms at a comfortable temperature—neither too cold nor too hot. There was a large covered terrace with a grill, and the windows had screens. Parking was available on the shaded lot. The beds were fine, especially the one in the bedroom by the door where the adults slept; after a week I had no back pain! There were plenty of wardrobes, storage, and a hallway hanger. The living room had a huge couch that comfortably fit a five‑person family. Thanks for the gifts and everything, Mr. Pilar. One thing that could improve is more kitchenware—smaller knives and more bowls.

“Urlaub mit 2 Jugendlichen”

The apartment was very large and beautiful, with three bedrooms, perfect for two teenagers who each had their own room. There were two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bathtub plus a washing machine. The kitchen had everything we needed, everything was very clean and comfortable, and the beds were super comfortable. Six people could easily stay here, with a big dining table, a large couch, and a big table on the terrace. It’s about a 15‑minute walk to the center, and there are good restaurants nearby. Shops like the butcher, Lidl, and Plodine are just a 3‑minute walk away. Pula, Kap Kamenjak, and Liznjan are all easily reachable. The hosts live in the house; we only saw them on the first and last day, but they were very friendly. Thanks again for the tasty grapes! We usually look for smaller coves in Croatia, so we can’t say much about the local beaches.
