The hospitality was amazing. We had a great meal cooked just for us in the bar with super friendly hosts. Breakfast was lovely, and we really appreciated and followed the suggestions to drive through the Glen of Aherlow on the way to Castle Chair. What a great day!

Just wonderful. Ruth and her husband are fabulous hosts and go out of their way for their guests. I travelled alone and felt so welcome. Forge bar is so lovely, cozy and welcoming too. The breakfast was beautiful: fresh fruit with yoghurt, followed by a delicious hot Irish breakfast with Irish sausage, bacon, white pudding, black pudding, mushrooms and tomato, served with a selection of Irish bread and toast with fresh butter, washed down with fresh juice and a pot of fresh coffee. The room I stayed in had a really traditional feel and a very comfortable bed with white linen bedding. In my opinion you cannot go wrong with this accommodation and I would absolutely highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay; I will be coming back with my family to continue our search for information on our ancestors.

We were a bit nervous when we arrived because the place looked a bit run down, but it turned out to be the best stay we’ve had. The owners are fantastic, The Forge Pub is amazing and the food was great. It feels like stepping back in time, reminding me of the places I stayed with my parents in the 80s. Breakfast was really good, especially the yummy pancakes! If we ever return to Ireland, we’ll definitely come back. The only downside was the carpark had a lot of dog poo, and my father‑in‑law stepped in some, though the dogs that live there are lovely.

The owners are just fantastic people; we’ve stayed here before and it was excellent. They go above and beyond to improve your stay, the breakfast is freshly cooked and the spread is top class—you get everything you could possibly want. I can’t say enough about Ballyglass, only that we’ll be back. Nothing else to add.

The location is great, tucked away and quiet, and the building itself is very beautiful. The staff are super friendly, especially Ruth ❤️. We ate both dinner and breakfast, and everything was very, very good! Thanks to everyone. The only negatives were a few spider webs here and there and a plastic wrapper on the bed.
