The location and the activities guided by staff Aksward were good. The toilet was broken, there was no shower water, and there was little transparency about prices and paid wifi.

Many tours are offered, the food is very tasty, and around 4 am there’s still a small traditional snack—something different every day. The menu adapts to what’s freshly caught. Akbar made the stay truly unique; he anticipated every wish, organized everything, and his honest, open, and appreciative manner was refreshing. Thanks to him we learned a lot about life in Malenge from a local. Unfortunately, some staff were not very helpful and seemed irritated when asked for assistance. The atmosphere among employees was noticeably tense. The bathrooms were dirty and clearly had been used by someone else. The running water ran out twice during our stay.

A delightful homestay right in front of Pulau Papan’s village and coral reef, with daily trips to explore Malenge’s snorkeling spots. The homemade food is delicious and the vibe is relaxed. Akbar deserves special thanks for organizing the snorkeling excursions. This isn’t a chain resort but a laid‑back homestay, so expect the amenities of a remote beach. There is running water but no hot showers on demand. The toilet’s flush uses a bucket of water on site, which works fine. Electricity is available from 6 pm to midnight via an on‑site generator—just bring a power bank. Go there for a Robinson Crusoe experience, not a Hilton. Some guests wanted to dive, which was a bit challenging but not impossible.

The location is amazing; the bungalows are clean and spacious, right on the beach, and just a few steps away you're in the water. You can snorkel directly from the pier or by taking a boat to the nearby jetty dotted with beautiful gorgonians. The staff is incredibly welcoming, including Andi, the all-rounder, the cooks, and a special mention for Akbar, who took us on a mandarin fish discovery tour

The staff were kind, especially Andy. The meals were good. The location faces Pulau Papan. The bungalows are old and too expensive.
