The location and price were great, and the staff was very nice. The hotel is currently under remodeling, but the carpeted hallways looked very dirty and as if they hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time. Breakfast was not great, and I had to kill a very small roach in our room. Otherwise, no complaints.

The staff were very friendly, but the room and facilities didn't match the price. The room had a strong odor and the AC unit was practically falling apart. The juice and coffee bar were terrible, and the pool was hardly enjoyable because the water was literally freezing cold. Bugs and stains in the hallway carpet were also a problem.

The staff and breakfast were good, yet the bed was very uncomfortable. The renovation was still ongoing, and the carpet smelled like mildew.

The stay was ruined when we got up to head to the hospital for a procedure and a live roach was crawling along the seam of the small sofa in the room. I told the front‑desk clerk, but he was completely unbothered and didn’t react at all. This was the second time in a few months we’d stayed here because of early UAB appointments. I left the hotel around 4 am that morning, had surgery later, and it’s sad that the clerk just nodded without any response.

The room wasn’t clean; the tub/bathroom was nasty. The building was under construction, but that didn’t explain the room’s filth. There were human hairs in the sheets, bugs on them, and the building smelled old and musty.
