I loved the adventure of arriving by ferry and the peacefulness of the island; the staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome, and the pub was gorgeous with lovely food. I’m not sure if the tap water is drinkable because it was very discoloured, likely due to local sediment. Bottled water was available in the kitchen, but there was no instruction on whether it was for communal use or for guests only—a minor complaint, but everything else was beautiful.

The area is very quiet and the staff are very friendly and approachable. Communication was poor, and the ferry to the island has quite limited schedules.
